The front desk position at a hotel requires various skills, and the details can be different depending on how the hotel is organized and what kind of guests it serves.

Computer literacy is an essential skill for people who want to work at a hotel's front desk or at a restauran. 

While you don’t need to be an expert in the world of technology, having intermediate coding skills in Python, definitely proves to your future employers that you are a computer literate employee!

In this task you will discover critical receptionist skills that can help you stand out from other job candidates. Digital literacy and further knowledge about the role that technology plays in contemporary hospitality sector can be a great asset! 

In addition, in this example you will write code for a project at intermediate level which replicates a Hotel Front Desk Management Software System used by staff working at the front desk and in customer service.

Once this project is completed, the user will have built a real working software system which can allow staff to:

  • Book a meal

The code in the intermediate section will be focused on displaying the menu options to the user depending on whether they want to book breakfast lunch or dinner, as as adding their purchases to a list.
