Technology and innovation in the hospitality industry has become a hot topic in the past few years, especially in the (post)pandemic era.
At this point you should have already completed the coding project at the beginner and the intermediate level and have gained a good knowledge about necessary both soft and hard skills required to get a job at a hotel or a restaurant.
In this example we will code a project at advanced level using Python so as to replicate the running of a Hotel Front Desk Management Software System used by staff working at the front desk and in customer service.
This project will help you develop a better understanding of how Python coding is used in the hotel industry and the importance of technology in the hospitality sector.

Covid era precautions have radically changed the way hotels operate, with more demand for innovative, technological and contactless solutions. In this web quest you will gain deeper knowledge about the reasons that hotels must keep up with the latest technology to stay competitive in an increasingly changing market.
In addition you will have the opportunity to exercise your English language skills for the hotel and tourism industry.
In this example you will also write code for a project which replicates a Hotel Front Desk Management Software System used by staff working at the front desk and in customer service. Once this project is completed, the user will have built a real working software system which can allow staff to:
•Check people in and out of rooms
•View customer bill
Process
To start with this task, try to recall and write down some examples of the latest technology being used in the hospitality industry. Then, read the article "20 Technology Trends in the Hospitality Industry", that is available in the links section, and check your level of knowledge!
